FreshBooks has added the ability to upload images of expense receipts to the online application. The upload capability supports JPEG, GIF, PNG and PDF file formats for sending image receipts into FreshBooks Expenses and attaching them to invoices.

The capability is design to avoid having receipts lost among email in inboxes and having PDFs eat up hard drive storage. All PDF versions are supported, except for those that are password protected. Files up to 2MB each can be uploaded, but there is no cumulative limit on file sizes.

 

The capability can be added by choosing the Expenses tab and the new option, “Attach Image of Receipt”
