Thomson Debuts Workstation App

Thomson Reuters logoThomson Reuters has launched OneSource WorkFlow Manager 5.0, which the company calls a core component of its global tax workstation designed for multinational companies. The company says the latest version provides users with greater customization, visibility and control.

The global workstation was launched last year after being getting high visibility in the remarks by CEO Tom Glocer in company earnings webcasts. However, when he outlined major releases in the company's 2010 earnings webcast, Glocer didn't mention the product and the company has not responded to repeated requests for interviews to discuss the workstation.

The company says the automation in WorkFlow Manager stems from rules-based workflows that prompt users to complete tasks associated with tax department functions. The FileRoom application in the product collects, organizes and manages workpapers and data for the tax life-cycle.
