The pace at which efiles submitted by tax professionals have been submitted continued to be several percentage points better than the rate at which self-prepared efiles have arrived. There were 39,909,000 efiles from professionals, essentially unchanged from 39,926,000. There were 38,517,000 self-prepared efiles received, down 5.8 percent from 40,909,000. For the prior weekly report, DIY efiles dropped 7.1 percent.
