WK Debuts Reporting Products

Wolters Kluwer has introduced an application for businesses impacted by the beneficial ownership reporting rule under the Corporate Transparency Act. The rule took effect on January 1.

The products include the  Beneficial Ownership Platform from the company’s Financial & Corporate Compliance unit for small businesses, law firms and corporations with qualifying entities. This offers a five-step workflow for filing and compliance for both single entity and multiple entity filers.

The Platform offers what the company describes as “a secure hosting environment for uploading, storing, and updating beneficial ownership information.”

WK’s Tax & Accounting division launched CCH Axcess Beneficial Ownership for automating the beneficial ownership information filing process for accounting firms that need to file large volumes of reports.

“The dashboard provides an overview of all the firm’s BOI reports, with the ability to create custom groups to organize data, track status from creation through completion and make edits directly within the platform,” according to Cathy Rowe, SVP and segment leader, U.S. Professional Market, in a prepared statement.

Rowe said the software utilizes a small form for walking users through the BOI report step-by-step and validating that required fields are complete.
