CCH Unit Changes Document Software

cch small firm servicesCCH Small Firm Services has replaced its Document Manager and Scan & Fill applications with a product called PaperlessPlus. The new software saves and stores emails, spreadsheets, memos and other documents as PDF files in a client's electronic folder.

Besides offering password protection, the new product also has folder locking options that can restrict access to any function. PaperlessPlus also features scheduled automatic backups, an interface that enables users to open any document with very few clicks and electronic signature capabilities allowing clients to sign documents electronically using e-signature pads.

Another version, PaperlessPlus Premier includes Premier Scan, which identifies scanned documents, arranges like documents together, and creates PDF files with bookmarks. Both products integrate with ATX and TaxWise so that tax preparers can export W-2 and 1099 data to clients' tax returns.
