Intuit Websites Being Sold

 Endurance International Group logoIntuit has decided to sell its Intuit's Websites business, an operation that includes Homestead Technologies which Intuit acquired in 2007. The Mountain View, Calif.-based company has entered into a definitive agreement with Endurance International Group which will purchase the business terms were not disclosed.

 

However, the press release announcing the deal suggests it has not grown as Intuit would have liked. Intuit purchased Homestead for about $170 million, but said this week that the whole websites business, including Homestead, generated about $76 million in revenue for the year ended July 31. Intuit Websites has been part of Intuit's Small Business Group. The deal is expected to close in Intuit's quarter ending September 30

 

Endurance provides web-hosting services to about 2.9 million customers and manages 10 million domains, according to the announcement.. Intuit Websites providing services to help small businesses get online.
