Intuit Execs Get Bonuses

Brad Smith, IntuitIntuit's top executives have received bonuses for fiscal 2013, the first most have been awarded in three years. CEO Brad Smith recieved a $1.12 million bonus while CFO Neil Williams was granted $420,000 for last year. All of Intuit's named executives also received raises in base salary for fiscal 2013. Most did not receive bonuses in the 2011 or 2012 fiscal years.

 Smith saw his base salary rise to $1 million for the current year compared to his base of $800,000 for fiscal 2010. Williams' base increased to $700,000, from $650,000. Kiran Patel, the former EVP of the small business group, received a bonus of $1.44 million while his base moved to $800,000, from $700,000 last year. Following a major reorganization, Patel was scheduled to leave the company after fiscal 2013 ended.

General counsel Laura Fennell had a 2013 bonus of $278,200 and a raise in salary this year to $575,000 from $505,000. Dan Maurer, the former SVP of the consumer group, received a 2013 bonus of $372,000 while his salary of $620,000 compared to $585,000 last year. In the reorganization, Maurer was given the role of SVP of the Small Business Management Solutions division, with Employee Management Solutions, Demandforce and Quickbase under him.

Founder Scott Cook, chairman and a member of the board of trustees, got a $273,000 bonus last year and a salary of $550,000. Cook is not a named executive and his compensation plan is not reported in the detail required for the others.
