Johnston says the survey originated from his inability to find information about technology use via other research being conducted in public accounting. "As much as I tried to get that information from the other surveys I just couldn't get it."

Participants will be asked 80 multiple-choice questions with the survey expected to take 30 minutes to complete. Questions will be asked in the areas of demographics, practice management, technology management, operating systems, computer hardware, application software, file and data, storage/management. remote access/internet/telecommunications, technology spending, decision-making, annoyances and trends
