After the tool has been downloaded, users enter a query in a supported search engine and then click "Display IntelliConnect search results" once per browser session to activate the feature. Query results will be displayed in the public browser. The search engines pick through subscriber content subscriber content and can display QuickAnswers, which are based on the most commonly used IntelliConnect search terms.

The log-in process enables credentialed access to specific IntelliConnect searches or articles selected. It supports UID/PWD credentials, single-sign-on and IP-authentication credentials.

The feature auto-installs on all supported browsers and search engines. It automatically senses a user's UID/PWD from stored cookies, when enabled. A network version is available for firms whose security limitation make it difficult for individual downloads and installs with customer service personnel available for remote installation assistance.

The system requires Windows Vista or later operating system a minimum 512K RAM and 1GHz processor. It supports Internet Explorer 8 or higher, Chrome 35 or higher and Firefox.
