Avalara Buys Alcohol Compliance Company

VodkaAvalara has purchased Compli, a move which puts in the market for alcoholic beverage compliance. Based in Paso Robles, Calif, Compli markets compliance services, technology, and software to producers, distributors, and importers of alcoholic beverages in the United States.

"Compli has exceptional IP, technology, and expertise, with a broad customer base in the beverage alcohol space,” Marshal Kushniruk, Avalara’s EVP of corporate development, said in a prepared statement. 

Compli’s provides products and services for segments including wine, malt beverages, distilled spirits and imports. It also processes a variety of permits and licenses and can automatically generate new licenses and license renewals. In addition, it can store license numbers, expiration dates, distributor information, product codes and registration status, among other information.
