Intuit Promises More Expert Connections

Intuit, which has become an increasingly important employer of accountants and tax preparers, will continue to expand contact between experts and its customers, CEO Sasan Goodarzi said this month. The comment came on Intuit’s Investors Day during presentations that followed the company’s annual meeting.

“Our vision is to create a virtual expert platform,” Goodarzi said during a webcast. He did not specify growth in hiring of any particular set of experts but noted their use in TurboTax Live, QuickBooks Live and Mint Live. He emphasized the important of connecting customers with experts in order to give them confidence in using Intuit’s software to handle their tax and accounting needs.

Consumers using TurboTax Live, the oldest of the programs, can connect with tax professionals from within the application to ask questions about returns. This year, the company introduced a Full Service offering for customers who want to hand preparation of their tax returns over to professionals. In 2019, Intuit introduced QuickBooks Live which offers basic bookkeeping services to businesses, provided by professionals employed by Intuit.
