Brady Martz Top Avantax Firm

Brady Marz & Associates has received the Firm of the Year and Top Champion Award from Avantax Planning Partners. The honors were  given during a recent awards night as Avantax also named its President’s Club.

Avantax said Firm of the Year goes to a leader in  “client communication, guidance and results” while the Top Champion award recognizes a planning affiliate that exhibits leadership in planning and wealth management.

Olympic Financial, an affiliate of Blue & Co., won the Best Practices Firm award while CP Financial Services took home the Consistency Award.

Two firms received the Difference Maker Award: Honkamp Krueger & Co., P.C., and Harding Shymanski & Co., which Avantax said “both had outstanding examples of how their approach to financial planning and wealth management made a significant difference in the lives of their clients.”

The President Club honors went to individuals “demonstrate exemplary productivity, client service, communication, planning guidance, and are advocates of Avantax Planning Partners”, the company said. 

Chosen to the club and their firms were the following: Courtney DeRonde, TDT CPAs & Advisors of West Des Moines, Iowa; Kevin Eggebraaten, CP Financial Service of Rapid City, S.D.; Eric Jaske, Olympic Financial of Carmel, Ind.; Jeff Knapp, Erpelding, Voigt & Company of Algona, Iowa; Scott Olinger, Harding, Shymanski & Co. of Evansville, Ind., and Louisville, Ky.; Ebony Rahe, Williams & Company Financial Services of Spencer, Iowa; Wendy Sims, Welgaard Financial Services, Pella, Iowa; Erin Spiwak, James Moore & Co., Gainesville, Fla.; Katie Thomas, Honkamp Krueger & Co., Dubuque, Iowa;  and Todd VanDusen, Brady Martz & Associates, Minot, N.

Bob Scott
Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards.  Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He  has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.  A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism, Bob is a native of Madison, Ind
