The Card Reader features smart tipping functionality with three tip options displayed either as a percentage of the total amount or a flat dollar amount. The device also has connectivity and battery level indicators and adheres to mandates in some areas that require a business owner to show a customer the total charge amount.

This summer, the company is also rolling out the QuickBooks Power Stand which can wirelessly charge the Card Reader. It has an integrated USB port offering the ecapability to charge USB-compatible devices like a phone or tablet.
