Sage Chief Executive Will Leave

Paul WalkerThe Sage Group has confirmed that Paul Walker, who was been chief executive of the British company for 16 years and has worked at the company for 26 years, will resign. The company did not give a date, but said he would leave "in due course" as the company worked through the transition.
There were no more details. The company, based in the United Kingdom, is parent to Sage North America, which markets products such as MAS 90/200, Peachtree, Abra, FAS, Sales Logix and Accpac.Sage said only it was confirming a report over the weekend in the British press. This also follows speculation by analysts that a sale, perhaps or the company's healthcare group, might be in the offing.
