Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz has hired Eric Wendler as the firm’s first director of business development. He is responsible for developing new business relations with organizations and business owners for the Frederick County, Md.-based accounting firm.
Wendler collaborates with the BSSF leadership to determine new business strategies and develop new service and lines alsp represents the firm in business and industry affiliated groups.
He spent 14 years 11 months with BDO before assuming the. new job this month and was director of business development from August 2017.
A sales executive with Catalyst IT Services from March 2006 through October 2007, from November 2002 through February 2006, Wendler was an assistant VP of Riggs, Counselman, Michaels & Downes in the Baltimore, Md.-based area November 2002 through February 2006.
Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards. Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that. A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism, Bob is a native of Madison, Ind
