Besides being in charge of strategy, Manuel will be “helping to build deeper capabilities in AI, productivity, client support and real estate,” the tax services company said in a prepared statement.

Manuel came to Block after spending two years at Triangle Technology where he was president from November 2022 through May of this year. Before that, he worked at McClatchy from October 2017 through November 2020.

He was employed for slightly more than seven years at Thomson Reuters. At that company, his titles included VP of global data center operations from January 2012 through February 2013 and then Manuel was VP and head of strategic product management and delivery from February 2013 through September 2017.
