The American Institute of CPAs has named Skip Braziel as VP of state regulatory and legislative affairs. He will work closely with state CPA societies, state boards of accountancy, the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, and elected state legislative and executive branch officials.
Braziel previously worked as assistant VP of government relations for MetLife and was that company's government relations counsel in New York City and Washington D.C. He also served as VP of community relations for LaSalle Bank in Chicago, Ill.
The AICPA position was previously held by Mat Young.
