Rodriguez, who starts this week, spent 17 years at design company Ideo, where he was a partner from March 2007 through November 2017. He was global managing director for his last four years there.

Most recently, he led Ideo's process for identifying, incubating, and growing its own new ventures, such as Ideo U, CoLab, and Creative Difference. Before that, he was managing director of IDEO BayArea. Earlier in his career, he worked at Intuit and Hewlett-Packard.
