Corvee’s Instead Adds Augusta Guidelines

Corvee has integration of Augusta Rule deduction filing guidelines into Instead and Instead Pro. The Augusta Rule—Section 280A—enables homeowners to rent out their homes for up to 14 days without needing to report rental income.

Instead and Instead Pro offer Augusta Rule savings estimation to help plan, calculate, document and file a return.

Corvee CEO Andrew Argue noted the rule gives individuals the ability to rent out vacation homes to their business and deduct rental costs on business return, while accepting rental income tax-free

Introduced in June, Instead is designed so users can identify and document qualified projects for R&D tax credits.Last month, Corvee introduced AI Tax Assistant which provides answers to specific questions and clarification on navigating the IRS four-part test for R&D eligibility.
