The statistics the Internal Revenue Service released for the season through March 10 followed the same pattern with total returns received now 6.8 percent behind last year's comparable period ending March 11, a improvement of 1.5 percentage points.

Nonprofit software vendor AccuFund has scheduled its first national user conference. The AccuFund Summit for Nonprofits & Government, Ascending to New Heights, will be held from October 23 through October 25 in Centennial, Colo. Users will be able to select session from three tracks: reporting, application and technology.

Canopy, which markets practice management applications, has raised $20 million in Series B financing. The latest round brings the total funding raised by the Lehi, Utah-based company to $30 million.
