Community Brands, which has expanded in the nonprofit market by acquisition, has secured three more target companies. The St. Petersburg, Fla.-based software vendor had purchased 501 Auctions and Gesture and has an agreement to acquire GiveSmart.
Community Brands was formed earlier this year and its purchases include nonprofit accounting software company, Abila. The acquirer notes the latest deals move it into the mobile auction and fundraising event services market. Terms were not disclosed.
GiveSmart, based in Atlanta, Ga., offers silent, live and online auction servicess. Westmont, Ill.-based Gesture has a number of mobile fundraising products, including mobile bidding, guest management, check-in check-out and directi donations. Operating from Brooklyn, N.Y., 501 Auctions provides configured event websites.
When the Gesture deal is completed all three companies will be part of Community Brands Nonprofit Solutions division led by EVP Erin Shy.
