Avalara, which markets cloud-based products for handling indirect taxes, has introduced new versions of CertCapture and CertExpress, its applications for handling exemption certificates. CertCapture is utitilized by a wide variety of sellers to collect, validate and renew store buyers' certificates.

Exemptions can be created from any device and all forms of data capture have been upgraded to support a wide range of devices.
CertCapture can immediately exempt  purchases or wait until the certificate is validated. It also enables tax-exempt buyers to create store-compliant exemption certificates for submission in advance of and at the moment of a purchase.

CertExpress can be operated as a standalone mobile application or an integrated package for businesses using CertCapture. The product prepares certificates for all states and across dozens of exemption classes.

Mobile users can create and manage forms on any Internet-connected device. New users can create an account and a tax profile and immediately begin creating certificates.
