Thomson Reuters has launched a certificate program for accounting professionals who want to learn more about small businesses. The curriculum for the Checkpoint Learning Small Business Start-Up Certificate Program explores a variety of start-up concerns such as writing business plan, new business financing options, entity comparisons and fraud prevention.
Other issues studied include mobile applications for sales and taxes, reporting client data and the basic concepts of providing small business advice and consulting. Successful candidates will earn a Checkpoint Learning Small Business Start-Up Competency Certificate as well as about 38 hours of Continuing Professional Education credit.
