The American Institute of CPAs has launched a website called ThisWaytoCPA.com for college students and CPA-exam candidates. The site is designed to educate them about the path to becoming and a CPA and about career opportunities in the profession.
Features include journals by individuals who recently passed the CPA exam explaining how they prepared for the exam. There are also mock job interviews and resume tips and a feature called, "Find your Fit," a set of questions that will help users find areas of accounting that are of interest to them.
The site also displays a time line that maps out the process for taking the exam, a list of more than 100 scholarships available to accounting and business students and information about careeer paths and jobs. Information is also provided about state license requirements, such as educational prerequisites for taking the exam, along with links to state CPA society and state boards of accountancy Web pages.
