Xero Intros Workpapers Overseas; Plans for U.S.
Xero has released Workpapers, based on the product of a cloud-based company it purchased last year, into the New Zealand and Australian markets. But the New Zealand-based organization isn't keeping the online workpaper product in the Southern Hemisphere. It will bring the product to the United States, although an exact date has not been announced.
"Yes, absolutely," said Xero CEO Rod Drury when asked if there are plans for an American launch. "At USA XeroCon in September, we'll go through the breadth of our platform."That conference kicks off on September 5 in San Francisco. Xero purchased online company Spotlight Workpapers last year and has had the software available in beta form since then. The company says the product has been used by more than "100 accountants globally."
