Sage Nonprofit Becomes Abila

Krista Endsley, Abila

Sage Nonprofit Solutions has become Abila following its acquisition by Accel-KKR. The new names follows the March acquisition of the operations by the private equity firm from the Sage Group.

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Abila is led by CEO Krista Endsley who had been SVP and general manager of the nonprofit organization at Sage for four years. The company's main product, Sage Fund Accounting, was the former MIP, marketed by a company called Micro Information Products that had been acquired by Sage. The fund accounting operations have remained in Austin during these transitions.

The new company plans to increase its workforce by 20 percent to 150 this year.
