Centenal Tax Buys Six Firms

Centenal Tax Group, based in Folsom, Calif., has acquired six bookkeeping and tax firms in California. Centenal also named Zachary VandeKamp as CEO and said it plans to buy four more firms.

VandeKamp was previously chief legal of TaxAudit, where he worked from 2017 through 2018. Both Centenal and TaxAudit are controlled by TRI HoldCo. Terms were not disclosed.

Four of the acquired firms are in the Sacramento, Calif., area. Centenal plans to buy three more firms in Southern California and one in the Sacramento area. The firms purchased by Centenal are Olander and Co., Gregory Verdon & Co. Certified Public Accountants, J. Ingram & Co. CPAs, Associated Tax Services and Bonnie S. Clark CPA.

Centenal has 12 employees and intends to hire 12 more full-time employees and six seasonal one for tax season.
