CapinCrouse Names Three Partners

Sharrett LoganCapinCrouse, an Indianapolis, Ind.-based CPA firm, has named three partners. The firm, which specializes in working with nonprofit clients, has promoted Daren Daiga, Chris Purnell, and Logan Sharrett to partner effective this month.

Tax partner, Daren Daiga, joined the firm in February 2013. She specializes in tax-exempt compliance services, including Form 990 and 990-T and related state forms and assists exempt organizations with a wide variety of general tax matters. Previously, she was NFP tax manager at Crowe Horwath, where she worked for seven years, seven months.

Chris Purnell, partner and tax counsel, came to CapinCrouse this month. A licensed attorney, he advises exempt organizations of all sizes on a wide range of issues and also assists clients with general tax issues, unrelated business income, charitable solicitation, and missionary employment structures. He spent  11 years two months before that at the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic, a faith-based nonprofit that provides legal services to low-income individuals.

Employed by CapinCrouse since June 2015, Logan Sharrett, based in Atlanta, Ga., was an audit manager and senior manager before his promotion. He has more than 10 years of professional experience serving a wide variety of nonprofit organizations, including schools, colleges and universities, foundations, church denominations, and international mission organizations.

Bob Scott
Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards.  Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He  has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.  A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism, Bob is a native of Madison, Ind
