Grant Thornton says it is expanded its private capabilities with the hiring of two individuals to lead its Value Creation Planning services offering. The accounting firm has hired William McManus and Alex Arata to serve its private equity clients.McManus joins as a managing director in the Strategy and Transactions practice. with Arata as a key account executive. Both McManus and Arata were previously with Point 8. McManus worked there from February 2023 through March and was executive leader of the private equity segment for his last two years there. Prior to that, he was a founding Partner/Senior Director - Technology Asset Management Services, a division within Alvarez & Marsal from April 2007 through December 2011.
Arata spent 2019 through this year at Point 8 where he was Director of Private Equity and Value Creation From 2017 through 2020, he was at Sidekick Home, a home improvement concierge service, of which he was a co-founder.
