Tom Mescal, a partner who held leadership positions at CPA firm  Armanino, has retired from the from after more than 20 years.

Mescal posted on LinkedIn that he is serving as active investor in AI, cybersecurity and enterprise software while enjoying leisure activities.

Mescal served as partner-in-charge of consulting at the San Ramon, Calif.-based accounting firm from May 2004 through November 2021. He then became chief growth officer, charged with partner growth and innovation, serving in that position until his departure.

He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards.  Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He  has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.  A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism, Bob is a native of Madison, Ind
