Mackintosh was with Wolters Kluwer from August 2012 through January and was president and CEO of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting U.S. from October 2013 until her departure.
She joined Thomson Reuters and 1996 and spent the overwhelming part of her career there with the unit that marketed software to tax and accounting firms. However, in her last job there, Mackintosh was SVP of indirect, property and trust tax for the company's Tax & Accounting business.
Trintech's Cadency platform offers certification-account reconciliation and journal entry software and compliance and financial close management.
Mackintosh replaces Paul Byrne, who became CEO in January 2011 following its purchased by in December 2010 by Spectrum Equity Investors for what one publication at the time described as a "knockdown price" of $93 million. The company was founded and based in Ireland. In its last public annual report, Trintech reported revenue of $32.5 million for the year ended January 31, 2010.
Trintech received an investment of undisclosed size from Vista Equity Partners last fall. Spectrum Equity, agreed to make what was described substantial minority investment at the same time.
