RedGear Accounting is offering its ArkWorks for free along with two of the three versions of its 2011 TaxWorks tax preparation software. The company is bundling the document management package with the Gold and Platinum version of TaxWorks, but not with the Silver edition.
The Silver edition includes the federal 1040, all 1040 states and the company's TaxPlanner for $1,795 for those renewing by May 31 and $1,995 for a new user. The list price is $2,595. Gold adds on the 1041, 1065, 1120/1120S and all business states and includes the TaxPlanner and one ArkWorks seat at $2,295 for renewals this month and $2,495 for a new user. The package lists for $3,195.
The Platinum version has all the same features as the Silver, but provides five ArkWorks seats at a May renewal price of $2,795 and a new-user price of $2,995. The list price for Platinum is $3,995. The company is also offering discounts of up to 35 percent on desktop and laptop.
The usual price for one ArkWorks seat is $795 with a special price of $595 now being offered. Annual maintenance is $150. The list price for five seats is $1,395 with the discount price set at $995. Yearly maintenance is $300.
