Petz Enterprises has hiredReynold F. Sbrilli to the new position of chief strategy officer for the Tracy, Calif.-based tax software company. Sbrilli was most recently EVP of Commercial Bank Assurance Asia-Pacific for HSBC and has more than 25 years of executive-level experience in the financial services industry, including 21 years at HSBC.
Sbrilli's experience includes his tenure as managing director of HSBC Taxpayer Financial Services, whose operations included working with electronic return originators that provided refund anticipation loans. In a prepared statement, CFO Charles Petz said that Sbrilli's hiring would support what he called "the fastest growing professional tax software company in the United States."
Petz markets the CrossLink line for paid preparers with heavy emphasis on high-volume retail tax offices and the TaxBrain application, an online preparation program for consumers. In his new spot, Sbrilli becomes the first person of the executive team who is not a member of the Petz family.
