PARSIPPANY, N.J.- Tax chain Jackson Hewitt Tax Service has begun the roll-out of its electronic document signature and storage program, which will be available at some of its locations during the upcoming tax season. The program, utilizing technology from Integra Business Systems, also provides customers with access to tax returns through Web portal on the company's site.
The company estimates the system can reduce the number of pages printed during a typical tax preparation session by more than half. Jackson Hewitt did not state how many stores would be participating in the program. Customers can still choose to have hard copies of their tax returns printed in the office.
