Thomson Reuters is preparing a limited release of its first Onvio Tax module. The company plans to hit the market by the end of the year with a 1041 module, released to what the company termed "a very small group of firms" with all entities ready for a tax season test.
At the company's Synergy user conference this week, it outlined plans to have the cloud-based tax product available for "few hundred firms" using all entities of Onvio Tax, according to Matthew Jagst, senior director of product management, said during a preview.
Thomson has already introduced the following Onvio elements: Documents, Client Center, Time and Billing, Trial Balance and Project Management. "We now have over 500 firms who are licensed and using one element of Onvio, Jagst said.
However, most customers continue to use UltraTax CS and that is expected to be the case for a while Company representatives noted that Thomson is enhancing the on-premise CS Professional Suite and will continue to do that for some time.
