Intuithas tested a version of TurboTax Live via which it will provide complete tax preparation services to customers. CEO Sasan Goodarzi acknowledged the test this week during the webcast for earnings for the third quarter ended April 30.
That was in response to a question by an analyst who asked about a TurboTax Live Pro SKU, which was available during tax season. “We are testing full service,” Goodarzi said. The Pro test came while Intuit is also testing QuickBooks Live, which provides bookkeeping services through accounting professionals employed by Intuit.
Noting the limited scope of TurboTax Live, Goodarzi said Intuit is testing a plan under “we will do it all if that’s what you want us to”. However, he said the company is in the early stages of learning from the test.
