SafeSend has added support for tax returns prepared by the use of Lacerte tax preparation software. The move adds to software packages whose products are supported by SafeSend’s automated electronic assembly and delivery system.
The initial release is compatible with the 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120s, and 1065 forms prepared in Lacerte. SafeSend already integrated with the UltraTax CS and GoSystem Tax RS applications from Thomson Reuters and CCH ProSystem fx and Axcess from Wolters Kluwer.
SafeSend feature include auto-collation and assembly, and an intuitive client interface that encomaases e-signatures for 8879s, estimated payment (ES) coupon presentment, ES payment options, email reminders for estimate payments, electronic K-1 distribution to shareholders/partners and tax preparation fee invoices with direct payment option.
Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards. Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that. A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism, Bob is a native of Madison, Ind
