Intuit has extended an introductory price for its first Internet-based professional tax preparation program through tax season. The company said the $9.95 per return price for ProLine Tax Online is being extended because of what it called an “overwhelmingly positive response.” Full pricing is $19.95 per return.
ProLine Tax Online, which carries the name of the new Intuit ProLine brand for professional tax products, is not based on Intuit's Lacerte or ProSeries packaged tax applications. Only individual federal and 24 states are offered this year. Intuit plans to add business returns later.
The state individual returns offered for the 2009 tax year are Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina,Tennessee, Utah and Virginia
