PCAOB Bars Miami CPA

A Miami, Fla., CPA who repeatedly dodged scheduled dates for sworn testimony has been censured by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. Douglas A. Labrozzi, whose excuses included vacation plans, was barred from being associated with a PCAOB firm and registration of his firm Douglas A. Labrozzi CPA, was revoked for the refusal to cooperate with an investigation and for backdating audit documents.

The Tax & Accounting business turned in a good performance for Thomson Reuters for 2013. The operation showed a 9-percent increase in revenue over 2012 results with both the Corporate and Professional segments showing double-digit increases in sales that were offset by a 33-percent drop in government revenue.
