SafeSend Name CEO

SafeSend, which makes software for assembling and emailing tax returns, has named Mathieu Stevenson, as CEO. He replaced Scott Fleszar, who announced his departure right after the April 15 tax deadline.

Fleszar joined the company as chief operating and strategy officer in November 2019 and became CEO in November 2020. His LinkedIn profile now calls him a senior advisor. Stevenson spent the early part of his career at McKinsey & Company, focused on technology and financial services, where he served one of the Big 4 tax and accounting firms. Since then, he has held senior leadership roles at several high growth companies, including TaxAct and Avantax. Most recently he served as CEO of Snagajob, the largest software enabled marketplace for hourly work.

Bob Scott
Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards.  Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He  has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.  A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism, Bob is a native of Madison, Ind
