H&R Block is offering free applications for renewals of individual taxpayer identification numbers. The tax preparation services company says nearly a million taxpayers have ITIN numbers which have expired.

TaxAct Freelancer has been relesed to tailor tax preparation and filing for freelancers, independent contractors, and self-employed individuals. Among the features are Deduction Maixmizer, which enable taxpayers find deductions most relevant to their professions.

Bookkeeper360 has been named Xero's Platinum Partner of the Year for New America. It was one of several awards made to accounting and bookkeeping firms by the New Zealand-based cloud software company.
