Intuit is dropping the ProLine brand that it had launched as a method of tying together its product lines. ProLine debuted two years ago this month. And was immediately noticeable by the phrase "Intuit ProLine Products and Services for Accounting Professionals" that was placed on the top of the Web pages for its tax and accounting products such as ProSeries, Lacerte and QuickBooks.
"With the new fiscal year, which started August 1st, we are phasing out ProLine. As a result, ProLine Tax Online is now Intuit Tax Online Accountant," a spokesperson noted.
However, the revised branding is not yet reflected on some of the company's product web pages or its ProLine Facebook page. The spokesperson said the changes will be implemented over the next several weeks. Also ProLine Tax Import is now listed on the pages of the two desktop products as Intuit ProSeries Tax Import and Intuit Lacerte Tax Import.
The company has also not yet adopted a name for what was originally the ProLine Practice Management application, which is still in a test phase. Most Read
