Xero is moving its North American conference to the spring of 2015. The New Zealand-based cloud software company held its first conference in this country in September 2013 but has confirmed it will not be holding another this fall.

"We heard from a lot of our accounting partners that the spring is a better time for them than the fall," says Sharna Brockett, director of public relations and social media in the United States. Dates have not been selected.

Last year's Xerocon conference in San Francisco on September 4 and 5 was complicated as after Xero announced its dates, Intuit announced a VIP conference in Silicon Valley for the same dates and invited many of the same opinion influencers. Intuit has already announced plans for a conference this fall.
