ZenPayroll has been renamed Gusto. The cloud-based company made the change as it added health benefits and workers' compensation services to its payroll line. In a letter on the Gusto website, the company's founders said the new services are integrated with payroll to that employers and employees can onboard and manage all forms of compensation in one product.
Based in San Francisco, Calif., the company was founded as ZenPayroll in 2011. It opened an office in Denver, Colo., in July and received $60 million in funding in April. Announced plans for the Denver office included the hiring of 100 employees immediately and bringing the total there to 1,000 over the next few years.
The health benefits services include assisting businesses in the selection of health plans and it described its workers' compensation program as a pay-as-you-go service.
Gusto is priced at $59 per month for a company with five employees, a base of $29 per month plus $6 per month for each person. The price includes all Gusto features.
