Sage has launched the Sage Payment Center, an in-product service for businesses that use Sage 50 and Sage 100. The new service is designed to enable those users to apply for, activate and use the credit and debit card acceptance capabilities embedded into their accounting software. The company said the payment center will be embedded in other Sage products in future releases, but named only Sage One as being on the current plan.
Sage said the capability means accounting software users can accept payments against an invoice and process a credit card payment using a PCI-secure point-of-sale interface that posts into Sage 50 or Sage 100 in real time.
In a prepared statement, Paul Bridgewater, CEO of Sage Payment Solutions, said, "With Sage Payment Center, businesses can choose how they want to process a payment, easily spot accounts receivable trends, make payment acceptance part of their existing workflow, easily make automatic deposits, and much more."
Sage Payment Center is currently available for Sage 50 customers on current support plans and any Sage 100 customers in the U.S. who are using Sage 50c, Sage 50 2016, Sage 100c or Sage 100 version 2016.1.
