Automatic Data Processing is providing salary benchmarking data to users of its Accountant Connect dashboard. The capability has been previously available to major accountants but is now being brought to business with one to 49 employees.

The Compensation Benchmarking tool, now embedded in Accountant Connect, "is fully automated,” says Erron Stark. ADP’s, division VP of channel strategy,  

Data can be viewed by industry, location, job type, employee, or revenue size and pay type. Users will be able to benchmark pay levels of their companies against organizations of a similar size in their geographies, for example, clients in the HVAC industry in the New York metro market.

That information will enable accountants to advise clients, “if they are overpaying or underpaying,” he contin­ues.
