Thomson Reuters has promoted Teresa Mackintosh, who had held executive roles at its tax and accounting business and had worked there since 1996. Mackintosh is now SVP and general manager of the Indirect, Property & Trust organization and has moved from Dexter, Mich., to the company's offices in Carrollton, Texas.
Mackintosh, who had led the marketing operations of the Dexter organization, had been promoted in April 2010 to general manager and SVP Americas for Thomson's professional suite. She had reported to Jon Baron, who continues to lead the unit that markets the CS Professional Suite.
The latest move undoes the year earlier reorganization in which Tax & Accounting had been divided into two major divisions under Roy Martin, who left in March. Mackintosh and Baron now both report to Brian Pecarelli, who now heads Tax & Accounting, as does Joe Harpaz, whose unit is responsible for the OneSource corporate tax line, and Steve Mendelson, whose group handles research products such as CheckPoint.
Under that arrangement, Baron was made president last May of the Americas, Workflow & Service Solutions. However, a spokesman said the group is now longer divided into the two divisions. Baron is now president of the business unit that handles such tools as Practice CS and UltraTax CS. He no longer has responsibility for the Americas.
