AAM Names Marketing Winners

 The Association for Accounting Marketings has honored 16 firms in 10 categories for their working in marketing.

The awards, presented during AAM’s annual Summit this month, included two new categories, Client Experience and Innovation & Strategic Achievement.

GHJ, based in Los Angeles, Calif., took home the first client experience award while Grapevine, Texas-based Forvis picked up the honors for Innovation & Strategic Achievement. Forvis also won in two other categories, winning for Advertising and for Internal Content Marketing campaigns with the external award going to FreedMaxick of Buffalo, N.Y.

Baker Tilly snagged two awards, one for Events Budget above $25,000 and the other for its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program or Initiative. WilkinGuttenplan with offices in New Brunswick, N.J., and New York, N.Y.,  was given the award for Events Budget below $24,999.

There were two awards for Integrated Branding Programs. The one for firm revenue below $40 million went to Minneapolis, Minn.-based BGM and the one for revenue above $40 million to HCVT of Los Angeles. Blue & Co., based in Carmel, Ind., won the honors for Video and Multimedia.

Three firms pulled down We AAM to Serve honors: Cohen & Co of New York City., Cherry Bekaert, based in Raleigh, N.C., and Brown Plus with offices in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Finally, Eugene, Ore.-based Kernutt Stokes was cited for the award for Website with a budget below $49,999 and Landmark CPAs with offices Arkansas and Arizona for budget above $50,00

Bob Scott has provided information to the tax and accounting community since 1991, first as technology editor of Accounting Today, and from 1997 through 2009 as editor of its sister publication, Accounting Technology. He is known throughout the industry for his depth of knowledge and for his high journalistic standards.  Scott has made frequent appearances as a speaker, moderator and panelist and events serving tax and accounting professionals. He  has a strong background in computer journalism as an editor with two former trade publications, Computer+Software News and MIS Week and spent several years with weekly and daily newspapers in Morris County New Jersey prior to that.  A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism, Bob is a native of Madison, Ind
