Acclvity Releases Checkout 3.5

Acclivity Software:Checkout 3.5, a point-of sale package for the Mac, now supports customer displays, including both pole and table-top models. Supported models include Logic Controls LT9000 UP and PD3000 UP. The software also features receipt printing enhancements and the new version prints receipts/invoices without displaying a print dialog.

The software detects the first receipt printer attached to a computer and uses it as default. It automatically opens cash drawers attached to the receipt printer, prints two copies of a receipt for sales paid via credit card and prints store logos on the receipt.

Several reports have been tuned for better performance, including the Count Sheet (30x faster), Tax (11x), and Sales (5.5x). There was also a major focus on performance improvement, especially for stores with thousands of products and invoices, and stores left running for multiple days without a restart. There also many new reports, including Discounts Given, Orders, Performance by Brand, Performance by Tag, Price Exception, Products by Brand, Product by Tag, and Stock Correction.

Price: Free upgrade for Aclivity users; $499, new users. Acclivity Software: (800) 322-6962; www,acclivitysoftware.com
