SmartVaultended 2017 with 17,900 customers, an increase of 28 percent over 2016, according to GetBusy, parent to the document management software. The numbers were recently released when GetBusy reported financial results for the year ended December 31.
GetBusy, based in Cambridge, U.K., was formed last summer when SmartVault and VirtualCabinet were spun out of Australian software company, Reckon.
Both products are marketed in this country which produced $4.1 million in revenue for the most recently ended year, a 30-percent rise. VirtualCabinet added 1,800 customers last year, rising to 39,500 customers at year's end.
GetBusy lost $4.1 million in 2017, 35 percent more than it lost the prior year. Revenue reached $13.2 million, up 20 percent from 2016.
In his report in the 2017 annual report, CEO Daniel Rabienoted that the Virtual Cabinet cloud portal was moved to Amazon Web Services. It also improved security in SmartVault by embedding multi-factor authentication and improved digital signature capabilities through integration with DocuSign.
